Meet Mrs. Brittany Rumph

Multi-Genre Soprano Brittany Rumph is a native of Rochester, NY, and a graduate of both Roberts Wesleyan College with her Bachelor's of Science in Vocal Performance (concentration in opera & jazz) and Westminster Choir College of Rider University with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy. A current student of Ms. Constance Fee, she has graced the studios of Mezzo Star Teacher Laura Brooks Rice, and renowned Soprano Sharon Sweet. Brittany has performed a plethora of events singing everything from Opera to Gospel. Throughout her college career, shehas been awarded the Rotary Club’s Singer of the Year 2008 title, won the Roberts Wesleyan College Concerto Aria competition with Gershwin’s “Summertime” from Porgy and Bess, and has as of May 2011 made her international debut in London, England. In April of 2012, she sang the lead soprano role of Countess Rosina Almaviva in Mozart’s the Marriage of Figaro opera at Roberts Wesleyan and was cast in the role of Fairy Godmother in Roger and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She has also participated in many events and concerts around Upstate NY, Canada, Florida, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. On December 29, 2012, she had her first original single debut entitled "Stay", of which she wrote and self-produced. In April of 2013, she was featured in the Live from Hochstein Concert Series broadcast on national radio with pianist Michael Landrum, presenting a recital program of Nocturnes, and in November of 2013 gave a recital in Long Island, NY as the first place winner of the Freeport Library Classical Recital Series Competition. In April of 2014, Brittany made her professional opera debut singing the role of Clara in Syracuse Opera’s production of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. In December of 2015, Ms. Rumph traveled through Italy, Hungary and Romania with Award-winning Gospel Recording Artist David Bratton's Classical and Gospel Concert Tour. She was featured as the leading Soprano and Guest Artist.  Since becoming internationally acclimated, Brittany has performed as a Solo Artist in many Opera theaters, cathedrals and concerts. In 2020, Ms. Rumph received the Encouragement Award in the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. That same year, she placed 3rd in Opera Ebony’s Benjamin Brown Vocal Competition held in NYC. Ms. Rumph currently runs her Houston studio in Mission Bend, TX where she teaches students from around the country in-person and virtually. Through Brittany Rumph Voice Studio, she continues to teach her students while traveling the world as a professional artist. She will continue to teach and help many find their truest inner voice in the process.
